About the role:
ARU are delighted to be working with The Metropolitan Police and the Seven Police Forces in the Eastern Region – Essex, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk – to train the Police Officers of the future. We will be offering the new Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) developed by the College of Policing under the  Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF).
As a result we have new job opportunities, starting in the coming months, and we are excited to be offering these to you. This is a chance to be involved in shaping the Police Officers of the future and get involved in an industry leading programme.
The PEQF aims to further professionalise policing as a career, by both recognising and raising educational standards, and ARU has been selected by the Seven Force Strategic Collaboration Programme to provide the educational training for two new entry routes into the profession.
New Police Constables will enrol on a three-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship, which combines a degree programme with on-the-job training, while a two-year Degree Holder Entry Programme will be available for new recruits who already have a degree.
In this round, we’re looking for Instructors to deliver police education (lectures, seminars, tutorials etc.) and support the Senior and Principal Instructors with programme review and development.
This post will be located at Police Force sites in Kent.
You will work with police trainer colleagues at these locations and, initially, you will be responsible for a single cohort of student police officers studying on the PCDA / DHEP.
Instructor - £34,304 - £39,739
All our Instructors will need a higher degree and experience of teaching and quality assurance in a higher education setting. Instructors should have some experience of module leadership. Knowledge of policing practices is also vital.
Successful candidates will require Non Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) level 2 (Full) clearance as you will have unsupervised access to police premises.
The ability to travel between police establishments and ARU campuses is required for roles within the ARU PEQF programmes.
Excited and motivated candidates should contact Gias Uddin, Principal Instructor in Police Education, at  ****
 for an informal discussion.

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
