JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of all patrol officers are to protect the lives and property of the people of the
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.; to enforce the laws of the state and the ordinances of the village; and to serve the people
in whatever way is necessary within the scope of their particular assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license (Ohio). Successfully completed a Certified Basic Peace Officer Training Academy is preferred; however, anyone without certification will be considered. He/she will be required to attend and successfully pass certification requirements. No prior experience is needed.
Candidates selected to continue in the hiring process will be required to successfully complete the following requirements:
PRADCO online assessment
Extensive interviewing process
Background investigation
Polygraph
Comprehensive medical and drug screen
Psychological assessments

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma
Ohio Peace Officer Certification preferred
Associate or Bachelor degree in related field a plus but not required
